Symbiosis
Snow on top of branches
Branches under snow
Trees holding both with little effort
But add too much snow to those branches
And the branches under too much snow will bend
And quiver under the strain of the weight
Sometimes the sun helps
Helps melt the snow on top of those branches
And lifting weight from those branches beneath that snow
Amazing balance, those snow flakes on branches have
Standing on branches beneath the snow
Some snow likes small branches to stand on
Big branches like a lot of snow on top of them
Some snow has multiple branches under it
And some branches don’t have any snow on top
Somehow  the snow needs those branches under it
And the branches need the snow on top
Almost as if the tree were cold, and the snow a hat
The snow on top of branches keeping the noses of branches warm
And branches supporting the snow in mid air, almost
As if the snow didn’t want to fall, but to be blown
Around at nature’s beck and call
